PUBLISHER'S STATEMENT
A word of warning. If you haven't as yet completed the form and mailed it to Cinema-X
offices, you've almost missed your opportunity to win a fabulous dream-come-true-day
with superstar Marlene Willoughby. The contest closes March 31st. Pick up your
pen, write those 100 words about why you want to meet Marlene, and stick a stamp
on them. Now! If you're a first-time reader of Cinema-X, your last-time entry
blank is in this issue.
Good news for fans of the golden-haired goddess of the blue screen, Seka. In August
she'll be stiffening your love muscle in a knock-out new film release, "PASSION".
How do I know what your reactions will be? I directed Seka in the dazzling production.
I sat in on the writing of the original musical score for the film. And I can
tell you from personal experience that Seka knows how to make a man stand up straighter
than the playing of the national anthem!
In the next issue of Cinema-X, the HAPPENINGS section will stimulate you with
stills taken during the filming of "PASSION". My lens masters of putting
mattress-pounding action on film aren't exactly duds with a Nikon. The split-second,
split-beaver shots will grab you where it feels good. In hot action or in 'frozen'
form, Seka has the power to quicken your pulse.
Upcoming in Cinema-X is an eight-page word and picture review of "PASSION",
but it won't be written by any of my own staff critics. That would be too close
to home. I don't want to be accused of being prejudiced in my own behalf, as the
film's director. The reviewer will be an out-of-house man, but I can assure you
the critic will not be Manny Neuhaus — a so-called writer who has been fired
from the staffs of Screw, Hustler and Swank magazines. I won't subject my readers
to the efforts of a loser like Neuhaus.
In my statement in the April issue of Cinema-X I broke the news about a new publishing
venture of mine — the creating of a 100 page sophisticated magazine for
adult men and women, called LIPSTICK. The first issue is done! It's on the presses!
Watch your newsstands for the kiss-red logo of a magazine that I guarantee you
won't put down after you've come up.
That's what will happen when you get your hands on this sensational new magazine
that stars the work of the best writers and photographers in our country. LIPSTICK
is crammed with unusual features, brilliant writing and fantastic photographs
of beautiful women doing just what you like to see them do. The magazine was put
together with an artistic touch by layout artists who will lay you out - and down
- with your chick! LIPSTICK is a beautiful turn-on! After you and your woman have
gotten between the covers and enjoyed America's finest new publication for horny
sophisticates, you'll say . . . "Now! That's entertainment!"
