Editorial Note
We all enjoy equal rights. The opportunities and the social respect we now take
for granted was fought for by women who were less fortunate. These women were
the pioneers of feminism—a doctrine advocating social and political rights
to women equal to those of men. Does that sound so threatening? I don't think
so. How sad therefore that the word feminist for so many conjures a picture of
an angry, aggressive woman who hates men and suppresses her femininity and sexuality.
This month's Women Now takes a look at the perception of feminism today and the
division within the movement. I would like to welcome Dr Levinson as a new contributor
to PLAYGIRL. Dr Levinson's Practice will feature excerpts from his book Sexual
Secrets where he consults famous people on their sex lives. Although imagining
historic characters coming to his rooms is a bit off the wall, the case discussions
are informative and the consultations highly entertaining. In our endeavour to
fulfill your requests. We did our utmost to catch up with the much sought after
Springbok rugby players. The frenzy surrounding, the World cup made this a difficult
tall. James Dalton however was very co-operative which is more than I can say
for James Small who turned out to be less sporting.... I hope you enjoy this issu
omlise gorgeous SA boys on Shoreleave to the fanta s and in depth articles. And
remember that th qualities of being a woman are being able to combine sensuality,
sexuality and beauty with self confidence and decisiveness.
