EDITORIAL NOTE
The holidays are a time for happiness and good will towards men and
women - but if the Holiday heebee-geebees have got you down, let OUI
help you get it up.
So, you're asking, what exactly does OUI have planned for this first
issue of 1986? Good question. Our lead story is an impact piece: The
Fast Life And Mysterious Death Of Jim Morrison (p. 32), by West
Coast-based writer Stephen Richard Silva. It's been 15 years since the
death of Morrison, former lead singer for The Doors, but his legend
looms larger than ever. His reported death - there are those who feel
he is still alive in some secluded place - was a Mystery, but that was
not out of the ordinary for a man whose whole life was an enigma. Silva
spend three years retracing Morrison's final months, days and hours.
The result is a captivating piece that should raise eyebrows on fans,
friends and foes of Morrison alike.
January 26th is Super Bowl Sunday, and, thinking of the countless OUI
readers who also are NFL fans, we present OM Guide 7b Super Bowl XX (p.
46) by Barry Janoff. Do you know how many even numbered Super Bowls the
NFC has won? How about the AFC's record on odd-numbered Super Bowl
Sundays? How has the NFL fared when the Super Bowl is held in New
Orleans, where XXI will be played? It's all there and more-...plus, a
special Sports column (p. 84) devoted to the top Super Bowl
quarterbacks over the first 19 games. Just try to watch the game
without OUI and see how far you get.
If you're judging mileage in terms of sexual distance, OUI will take
you all the way and back. Our hot series on Working Women continues
with a look at Long Distance Operators (p. 25), those sexy, sensual
women whose voices are definite turnons.
If you feel your blood getting hot, OUI keeps the heat on with Big
Breasted Women (p. 40 by Amy Cuvier, a unique look at those
well-endowed women who know that it's what's up front that counts. If
it's live action you crave, go directly to Liue At The Ponderosa, Part
II (p. 100), wherein one of our ace photographers, Dennis Silverstein,
tries to keep his lens from steaming up while capturing the hottest
women this side of Roselawn, Indiana. Of course you might want to make
your erotic trip a bit more exotic, in which case you'll be more than
satisfied with 1001 Erotic Nights (p. 50), a nasty little pictorial
that puts you directly between the thighs of the legendary Queen
Fellatia. Speaking erotic nights, don't forget to book passage on Ships
In The Night (p. 74) by Guy Wilkinson, a fictitious (?) look at the
sexual lifestyles of the rich and boring.
And if all that isn't enough, OUI gets your New Year started on the
right foot with a new, monthly bonus Calendar Pullout, located right in
the center of the magazine and designed for you to remove and hang up -
putting a sexy OUI lady by your bed for the entire month. There's also
The Big Sell (p. 17), an off-beat look at holiday ads from 50 years
ago; Date-A-Virgin (p. 62), OUI Neighbors (p. 13) and our on-going
search for the Amateur Centerfold '86 (p. 3). So don't get down
just because it's the holidays. Taste the new OUI and get hot. The
others are still out in the cold.
