As a subscriber to American Curves. He's been round the block a few times; two
divorces, three marriages, tons of girlfriends, tons of rejections. He's been
a busy boy! With readers of American Curves in mind I asked this 50-plus-year-old
guy to dish out some advice; something of importance he had learned with regard
to meeting, dating and shagging women. He thought for a long minute and then said,
"Well, one thing for sure is that once you have shown an interest in a woman;
I mean, once you have let her know that you find her both interesting and attractive,
you have to take a step or two back." I asked him to explain in more detail.
"You can want her but you mustn't want her," he says. "You're totally
confusing me, Al," says I, "Explain!" "When a woman knows
you're interested in her it can add to her confidence, make her like you and give
her a warm feeling inside. But if that interest carries with it too much intensity;
if she feels closed in by your attention, or catches a vibe that you are needy,
too pushy in developing a relationship, or crossing the normal boundaries of courtship,
then she may become totally turned off by your advances." "This doesn't
mean you cease being friendly and stop offering a pleasant demeanor. It's merely
a matter of backing up a few steps to give her breathing room. You can step up
your attention at a later time, a time perhaps, when she is wondering whether
you still find her attractive." I invite readers to e-mail me with their

EDITORIAL NOTE
What seperates us from some of the other men's titles on the market? Hands down,
the women! Not only do we out number other magazines with our girl page count
but we are quickly becoming known for our quality of women and featuring some
of the sexiest fitness models in the world. Our girls are attractive, have all
the right curves (which is where our name comes from) and pose for the camera
in a seductive manner that lures the reader in with pictorials that have them
salivating at the mouth. And because we take pride in knowing this, you'll notice
that issue after issue the women get hotter, the poses become more enticing and
readers are more fulfilled now than ever. I know because I get their letters and
e-mails telling me so. We're always willing to make improvements to Curves to
make it the best it can be and truly seperate ourselves fro ordinary girlie magazines
in order to become the best damn men's title you've ever laid eyes on.
