Right now there is someone in your life whom you long to hook up with. Am I right?
You bet I am. So what's wrong with you? Ain't gonna happen unless you take some
serious action.
The definition of insanity is someone who thinks that by doing the same thing
over and over, a different result will occur. No way Jose! Do the same thing over
and over and you get the same result. It is only when you take a different course
that a new result will occur.
You have to make a plan, a brave but feasible plan. A sea captain doesn't set
sail from port unless he both knows where he's going and has charted a course
of direction. Without that he'll be aimlessly drifting around.
Step one for you: A plan of action. Find out what music she enjoys, her favorite
foods, her hobbies, traveling experience, and exercise habits. Is she a smoker,
an organic food devotee, what is her sense of humor like? Is she a TV fan of So
You Think You Can Dance or American Idol? Is she a movie buff or a concertgoer?
Next, without pushing it too hard, show that you have an interest in some of the
things she likes. Show her that you are into her. And make sure you really are
because she will soon find out if you are faking it. It's no good asking what
her sign is, or her birthday, or her middle name, and not remembering it. What
to do on your first date. How about a lunch ("Wanna get a bite to eat?")
or even a coffee. No dirty - T-shirts. Be neat and groomed. Don't overdress.
Clean your car inside and out. Forget picking her up with a hired horse and carriage,
and presenting her with six dozen red roses at the door. (One friend of mine actually
did this. It put her right off and they never dated again.)
If you give a present during courtship make sure it is a small present. Nothing
over $100 (preferably $50 or less). The important thing is that it's something
she likes (a perfume she mentioned, a scarf she saw in a store, a book she wanted
to read, a DVD).

things happen. And be patient.
