INTRODUCTION
Because of space limitations we have trimmed down our movie list in this edition,
but have included about 60 new releases that have come out in the past year. What
was lost in the process was some of the special interest films. For those who
have more exotic erotic interests, we have indicated in the Where To Buy directory
some distributors that carry these. Bizarre Video Productions, for example, has
tapes on S&M , B&D, lesbian fantasy, rubber fetishes; Swedish Erotica
carries gay titles. Their catalogs give a complete rundown on what they carry
in these lines. The purpose of this Handbook is to give the adult movie fan some
indication of what the X-rated industry has to offer before spending $7.50 to
step into a theater or to rent a videotape, or even plopping down $60 to buy one.
We have concentrated on what we consider mainstream erotic feature films, and
have left alone the shorter stag or loop-length subjects. We have cross-indexed
the performers, erotic themes and special film genres, such as science fiction
and detective, in order to give the potential X-rated videocassette buyer an idea
of what he/she is getting into. We do not consider this guide to be a total answer,
but simply an aid in deciding which tapes one will most want to watch. Eroticism
by its very nature is a personal thing. What turns one person on may leave someone
else cold. We hope that this Handbook will prove useful in bringing some order
to what has historically been quite a chaotic industry. If anyone has a suggestion
that may help us to improve future editions, please write us.
