Editorial Note
It was an unusual coincidence that we scheduled the photographs on pages 21 to
27 (that's one of them on the left) for the same issue in which Bill Martino chose
fetishes as the subject of his "Man-To-Man" column. But the two features
do compliment each other. We'll admit Martino's treatment is rather sober, and
our two fun-lovers on the left probably don't even know what the word fetish means.
(You will, however, after reading Martino's column and you'll be more tolerant,
too.) But our twosome is just interested in having fun and trying a few fetish-type
games of love. As these fetishes grow in popularity, so do the toys one can buy
to have fun with: everything from whips to chains, studded dog collars, bondage
swings, handcuffs...you name it. Our two playful models demonstrate some of these
unusual toys. Not all fetishes involve bondage or spiked heels, of course. Martino
makes a very persuasive argument that the most common fetish of all is the female
breast. But Martino also writes: "If you reduce it to the simplest possible
definition, a fetish is a non-sexual object which generates sexual excitement
in some people." Which brings us to the drawing in the lower right. This
is a detail from Otis Sweat's illustration for an article, beginning on page 29,
called, "Home Computers: Who Needs Them?" If ever there was a "non
sexual object" which makes some people almost cum, the home computer is it.
Talk about ballyhoo! Balance your check book! Learn calculus or Japanese! Kick
back and battle with invaders from outer space! You can't avoid hearing the siren's
lure of the home computing industry today unless you become a hermit. Not only
do you absolutely need a home computer, say the folks who make and sell them,
it's your duty to rush out and become a card carrying member of the computerized
age. Well, we suggest you read the article before you rush out for this unusual
toy. You just may decide to spend your money on a fetish toy that costs much less.
