EDITORIAL NOTE
Continued from 1972/entirely due to Algonquin N. Park slashing his wrists just
below the knee. This then, despite publicity to the contrary, is why Club International
has not been on sale these past few months. With the old sod safely behind bars
we've taken the opportunity to spice up, and pump a little more andrenaline into
the magazine they all love to hate (not you dearie !). You'll notice the New,
Improved tarted-up cover, and also that the page numbers have been printed in
all languages of the European Community. With Britain in Europe now (and we're
all a bit worried about the hole it's left in the North Sea) Club International
can claim to be the first truly European magazine to keep a breast of what, at bottom, is going on. A full-colour, action replay of Britain's historic entry into the Common Market will be found on pages 50-51 of this issue.
After close analysis of that I suggest you turn immediately to page 29 for no
other reason than that the beauty who appears thereon brought all of us here out in a hot flush, and could have been the cause of all the rumours saying that we
were going bust. You'll see why when you've seen hers. Last summer Amnon Bar-Tur
sautéed forth into darkest France to photograph the most explicit nudist
camp in Europe. He escaped, wearing little else but the skin of his teeth, with
some remarkably over exposed photographs.
Now, what would you say a T.V. was? A little medicine chest in the living room?
Right ! It can also mean a transvestite, a man who'd rather dress to kill in
ladies clothes.
Then there's THE SUNDAY CRIMES magazine in which Basher Loomis gives some rational
arguments for the return of the death sentence.
Finally, to cap it all, there's a dutch treat in store for you on page 94. One
last word—to wish Algonquin a speedy recovery, with the hope that next time
he'slashes his wrists he doesn't phone for an ambulance first.
