Editorial Note
And so we thunder in with another exciting edition of your very own Club International.
Sit back, relax and forget all your woes, because you'll be reading and looking
for days to come.
Top of our list of top-flight contributors is the famous, sometimes infamous,
Frank Norman. The best-selling author of Bang to Rights, Banana Boy and Dodgem-Greaser,
Mr Norman is also the creator of the smash-hit musical Fings Ain't Wot They Used
T'Be and the play Insideout. Frank, never a man for the quiet life, has vowed
that his forthcoming novel Much Ado About Nuffink is based "rather loosely"
on personal experiences. We don't doubt it for a minute, and we're really very
pleased to be running this exclusive extract.
The personal breast of G. L. Simons is not examined in his excellent article on
just such a subject, but every other imaginable aspect of the hUmma-porn-star">Uman breast is.
Mr Simons, who exposes himself only in print, is indeed very prolific at that
activity. The author of Sex and Superstition and Pornography Without Prejudice,
his current offering, The Godless Parent (Morten Didsbury, Manchester, £2.50),
could well prove to be the most explosive book yet written on religious education.
However, the Breast, in all its diversity and bizarre mAnifestations, lies more
within the province of our particular magazine.
And that, of course, is not all - we are quite inexhaustible. For those wearied
by Watergate and the vicissitudes of our own politics, the world of erotica is
a haven. Bearing this in mind, we have the venerable Karl Steiner examining the
possibilities of prolonged pleasure, Tom Tennant displaying some bourgeoisie fInesse
in a Rolls Royce cruising down the Ml. Enzo d'Amberni taking us back in his popular
time machine, and Sexicon laying it on the line. There is also, for those with
a taste for the eccentric, an amazing story about a man who bought girls' skins.
Naturally, politics can't be totally forgotten, and to remind us quite forcefully
we have an exclusive interview with famed comedian and author Dick Gregory. Never
before interviewed for a British magazine, Gregory was kind enough to see our representative in America and the results make
for controversial reading.
We reintroduce our motoring feature with something rather different. David Parkinson,
who also took our stunning cover picture, and Steve Ridgeway, the gentleman who
puts Club International together pictorially, got together and decided to show
you a marvellous new bike from Norton Triumph in rather unusual circumstances.
In company with the lovely Susie Shaw, they went out and took some pictures which
do more than justice to both. You can see the results of their efforts inside.
Our fashion this month is right in line - in more ways than one - with the current
revival of interest in all things connected with the forties. We show you some
original suits of that period in company with some of the contemporary copies
that are being made. You'll find this wealth of new/old ideas as you turn the
pages.
On page 96. you'll discover the first in a series we hope to continue - with your
co-operation. We've called it Open Column, and it is included to cater for those
letters we recieve from you that are too long to publish in our usual correspondence
columns, which incidentally are still going strong, thanks to you.
Our review section. Sensor. is as usual full of all sorts of interesting things.
This month we are reproducing some erotic Victorian postcards, so have yourself
a good look!
And last, but definitely not least, loads of ladies. What more can we say? Well,
we could say that we're really very pleased with the fact that so many more people
seem to be enjoying Club International. At least we assume that many more people
are enjoying it because more and more of you are buying it every month! Bearing
this in mind, we're planning our future issues with quality in mind - because
we believe it's quality that makes you buy Club International. So in the next
few months you'll be seeing - is it possible? - more quality illustrations, quality
writing, and. of course, quality ladies. Sit back. You'll enjoy it.
