EDITORIAL NOTE

The wind blows hot, says Howard Nelson on page 26 of this issue, and although he is writing of what might be called a disassociated subject, we could well apply the same phrase to our very own Club International. Indeed it blows hot, and is warmly received, both here and overseas — and blows stronger each month.
Such popularity isn't all that mysterious. A quick glance through this month's contents will reveal our usual wide variety of subjects, all of which are superbly illustrated.
Readers of Men Only will already be familiar with Angela Carter, who has so far contributed to that brother publication a knife-edged interview with Micky Spillane and an intriguing analysis of Japanese sexual mores. Exclusively for Club International, Angela has retraced her footsteps, as it were, this time to demonstrate the more bizarre aspects of Japanese erotic tattooing.
Elsewhere we have a mind-boggling satire on the future Sex Olympics, a nostalgic glimpse at teenage groping in the post-war movie house, a startling Mark Royston exposé of Secret Societies, and one of the funniest, s.exiest and most unusual short stories of the year.
And the girls are outstanding, and Sexicon is outrageous, and our Art Editor, Steve Ridgeway, is ecstatic. We think you will be, too.
