EDITORIAL NOTE
So many good things come the way of Club International that we frequently find
ourselves in difficulties trying to fit them all in, and this month is no exception.
In our last issue we presented the first of our series on the Outer Limits of
Sex, and the response was stupendous. Written by G. L. Simons, author of the best-selling
books Sex and Superstition and Pornography Without Prejudice, the series promises
to be one of the most controversial yet presented by a popular British magazine.
More familiar worlds tackled from highly unusual angles are the worlds of literature
and insurance. Jon Hall, himself an editor with a well-known publishing house,
has written a satirical piece on the sexual mores of the book world; while Harold
lePinne exposes what goes on behind the staid doors of the grey-suited insurance
world.
Of special interest is our sensual pictorial treatment of The Language of Legs.
The humour is by Jonathan Clements, the photography is by David Parkinson, and
the whole thing could be a collector's piece.
And now for an apology. In last month's magazine, during The Last Real Race, we
had a wrong caption. The driver whose face was half-hidden by his broad shoulder
on page 109, was in fact Austin Hockley, and not Jack Findlay as we stated. Well,
you can't win 'em all.
