EDITORIAL NOTE
Now that winter is back with a vengeance, it is time to stay indoors, curl up
by the fire with a lady, pull out the brandy bottle and read this magazine.
Our lead article in the current issue is a back-handed slap at the myth of sexual
liberation by the witty, if frequently acidulous, Walter Harris. Apart from being
something of a regular contributor to Club International, Mr Harris is also the
author of several novels, most notably Clovis and Droop. His latest offering,
The Day I Died, has been released this month.
Another witty author is the infamous Quentin Crisp, a man once eloquently described
as "one of London's works of art". A self-confessed homosexual, a notorious
eccentric and wit, Mr Crisp's Morning Nude and Night is a funny yet pertinent
analysis of what it's really like to be a model.
Or, for even more hair-raising reading, you could do worse than Ronnie Mutch's
Let It Roll, perhaps the naughtiest piece of satire since Terry Southern went
to town on poor little Candy.
Pictorially, we are. as lavish as ever, ranging as usual over fashion, motoring
and the ladies, but with the additional bonus of a special spread on Sex and Yoga
— for those of you who might be in need of exercise.
