THE SLEUTHSAYER
"We have a responsibility to younger people," golfer Jane Blalock complained when Jan Stephenson { p. 50} first made putters flutter with her Tee & A. "I don't think our kids have heroes anymore 'cause you don't want to see your sports heroes naked!" In that event, you don't want to see this issue of Sleuth.. .
Says one medical expert: "Traditionally, it has been insisted that sex and
athletics don't mix. In contrast, many athletes and sex specialists now say the opposite: Athletes have better than average sex lives!" As the President
of the American College of Sports Medicine declared: "Athletic women are
generally more erotic than the average woman who is out of shape. Their libidos
tend to increase" {as do our jocks}. In the words of Australian tennis star
Judy Dalton: "I know some girls on the tour who say they can't play without having sex before a match . Others say it's impossible to play after it!" Adds an American female court ace: "Sex is a fine way to get rid of the nerves and tensions that build up before a big game. You just have to be smart enough not to overdo it." As usual, the late Casey Stengel put it best: "It isn't sex before the game that does any harm," he growled, "it's staying up all night looking for it."
Sleuth has been staying up all year looking for the most luscious ladies of sport
to assemble for this championship team, and we think we've got a winner: From
EVERT and EVERTS {Chrissie & Kellie} to JOHNSON and JOHNSON {Lynn-Holly &
Lynde}, Sleuth presents sheer strips of awesome athletic ability. And they come
in all shapes and sizes: ranging from gymnast Olga Korbut's 4'11", 84 pound sprite to wrestler Queen Kong's 6'3", 280 pound might. Skaters and daters, stunners and runners...we've endeavored to bring you "All the Nudes that's Fit to Sprint."
"If you've got it, flaunt it," says golfer Muffin Spencer Devlin {who failed to make the cut} . "Women and sex go hand in hand. I think it's important for women in sports to show that we're, well, women." So let's leave the final word to the lynx of the links who began this column, Jan Stephenson: "In golf, you have to be good in all areas," she grins. "You have to be powerful, be strong, have stamina and be able to control yourself. Plus, you have to have unbelievable touch. All those things are important in making love—especially discipline and Patience." We can't wait any longer, can you?
