LOOKING IN
Never ones to let an opportunity go by to blow our own horn, we were nevertheless
elated to find that Elite is now the largest selling Canadian newsstand magazine.
That's a great way to start the New Year, but we are not resting on our laurels
as this issue will attest.
The news these days seems to be full of the neoNazi upsurge and endeavoring to
be up with the times, we feel that Allan Charles' article The Rise of the Fourth
Reich is extremely timely. It deals with a subject that is associated with words
like holocaust and genocide and it causes us concern that it could be happening
again.
By contrast, Elite's interview with Lynda Carter is as informal as they come.
Allan Jaffee has managed to capture the spirit of TV's Wonder Woman and given
us an insight into her views on marriage and career to date.
If fiction is your bag, then try Mike Shelley's story titled Participaction. It's
an uncensored account of one man's difficulties in securing the undivided services
of his secretary.
Next, we have an article by Robert Blackburn and the title speaks for itself.
Tattoo brings you into the world of those who adorn their bodies with outrageous
designs. It seems that no part of the anatomy is sacred to those who prefer the
taste of an electronic needlepoint.
This issue also contains another part of that popular series, aptly named Fantasy
Tapes. We never realized that the series would prove so popular until we opened
our mailbags. We guess there must be 23,000,000 stories in this country, but unfortunately
we can only print a few at a time.
No New Year issue would be complete without the usual bevy of beauties and have
we got it this time! For starters, we decided to give you another look at some
of the girls who blessed our pages in 1978. From there we go to some home-spun
fun and games with The Great Canadian Beaver Hunt, which doesn't need too much
of an introduction, and we put the icing on the cake with two gorgeous females
who will make you look forward to the months ahead.
Last but not least, Beverly Beaver, our Canadian heroine, returns in another episode
of her quest to find stardom and freedom in the wicked world of lust.
