Longtime EFG readers may remember when this page was called "Editor's Stroke."
Well, the Editor back in those days spent too much time stroking—and not
enough time editing. He's gone now (although he did get a temporary position with
a local car wash) and we've made some changes in the magazine. We've got real
reviews, for example; we've bumped up our insider coverage of porn industry events;
we've established a new department, "Missing In Action," which is getting
a lot of favorable attention; and we've generally cleaned house. We junked the
old look and replaced it with less clutter and more of what you want: more and
better photos of sizzling fuck-action.
We cut out the dead wood on our writing staff, too. Gone are the self-promoting
windbags, pinheads, feebs and mental midgets. Although we reserve the right to
make the occasional mistake, you're never going to see Nina Hartley billed as
Nina De Ponca; we'll never "preview" a tape that's been in release for
months; and we'll never, ever tell you a tape's worth seeing if it's not. Now
that EFG has made the transition into the '90s, we think you're going to like
what you see.
