EDITORIAL NOTE
Everytime I'm spotted shooting photos of some beautiful lady in the clubs, I'm
approached by a bar patron who tells me I must be the luckiest guy on earth. "How'd
you get this job?" they always ask, a hint of envy in their voices. As I
always like to explain to these guys, sometimes looks are deceiving. Sure you're
working around beautiful women most of the time and meeting interesting interview
subjects, but on the downside, if I have to hear Aqua's version of Barbie Girl
one more time I'm going postal worker!!! Why can't anyone figure a hot routine
around Bruce Springsteen's Born To Ru n or Thunder Road? Here's a tip for lazy
dancers. Pick the oldies, you know Eddie Cochran or Buddy Holly. They've got minute-and-a-half
and two minute songs, you'll be done your three song set in the time it takes
most ladies to get through their first song. For those of you who are more ambitious,
try Led Zeppelin's Stairway To Heaven, and not that sissy 8-minute version on
the BBC Sessions.
So much for the bad advice.
In my short time as editor of Erotika I've met some wonderful ladies, bar owners
and bar managers. Jeff and I would like to thank the likes of Scott and Tony at
Whiskey-A-Go-Go, Joe, Amadeus and the gang at Extravaganza, Roger and Steve at
The Manor Hotel, and others for the hospitality they've extended us during our
visits to their establishments. Thereare many others to thank, and we'll get to
them in future issues, but let's face it, you want the photo of the woman on this
page bigger than the editorial. Right?
Coverage in this issue features all the action at The Manor's 2nd Annual Exotic
Entertainment Awards, from which our interview with The Bushwhackers, Dan Severn
and Angelo Moska originated. Also look for our photos of many of the beautiful
young ladies who competed. CongraTulations Drew Anderson on your victory.
The Extravaganza in Brampton was the setting for our interview and photo shoot
with Emjay Killer Foxx, who decided to bare it all for the first time in a photo
layout for us. This intelligent young lady has an interesting story to tell, and
we hope we've captured it well. Shouldn't this French Canadian dancer head for
New York and spank Howard Stern symbolically for all French Canadians?
With the release of this issue of Erotika we'd like to introduce the amazing Grace
Harlow as our new Publisher. This outstanding lady is going to see to it that
Erotika remains THE most exciting issue on the newsstands. And this lady knqws
excitement! My only question is will Grace be in charge of discipline at the magazine,
because if she is, I've-boen a bad editor. A really, really, really bad editor.
Time for a spanking!!! Actually, I should tread carefully, after seeing Grace
in our last issue and based on the fact I'm an out-of-shape-slob, I'm pretty sure
she could take me without breaking a sweat.
Seriously though, welcome aboard Grace!
Now it's time for a shameless plug for our next issue, due out in March. Erotika
likes to do things in a big way so the March issue will only feature dual photo
spreads. Two, three, maybe even more ladies will frolic together for your viewing
pleasure. And watch for our behind-the-scenes look at the Howard Stern show -
Barbie Doll Benson where are you?! - and what Canadian DJ's have to say about
the infamous Shock Jock. There'll be that and a whole lot more. As for the lovely
Strawberry Fields, I must say I was in quite a carfuffel trying to figure out
how to work the word carfuffel into this issue.
