PUBLISHER'S NOTE

Hey Gang!
Umm...does anyone remember where the summer went? Seems like only a week ago I was writing to you all about how we're kicking off a series of great summer programs, the latest SDCC exclusive books, grand website plans, new movie news, and wishing you all to have a great one, then suddenly we're well past Labor Day! What the hell happened?
I have memories of my Dad who lives in Maine complaining it pretty much rained for three months, while my Mom in Arizona barely left the house because it was 110° for 90 days, while Pam and I in LA dealt with a blur of summer school, sports camp, a revolving door of family in and out...and then it was over.
Where does that leave us? Onward and upward my friends—let's forge ahead and have the best Fall EVER, because this one is going to kick ass. Besides all the new updates to the website like the "War of the Worlds" production blog, we've added a whole new section on our novel publishing line with Tor Books, "Heavy Metal Pulp", a new production blog on the new "Heavy Metal Movie", as well as scores of new artist galleries and exclusive licensed products—so check us out and let me know what you think. On the publishing front, Howie and I are laying out the entire 2010 schedule in the next few weeks—so I'll give you some more details of what we're planning for next year in the January issue.
For this month, we're going to rock your world with an incredible line up of talent starting with Dave Palumbo's fantastic cover! We've all enjoyed his work in the "Tarot Card" gallery series with Boris and Julie Bell, and it is long overdue that we got him on the front of the book. My old friend, Jim Pavelec struts his stuff in the main "Gallery" while Kronos blows us away in the "Artist Studio!"
Other art stars include Greg Andrews, with an awesome back cover, Alan Welch provided a killer "Featured Artist" piece, and of course the afore mentioned "Tarot Card" galleries latest installment.
"Arawn" is our new main story, penned and painted by LeBreton and Grenier, while some of our regulars whip up most of the short features, like; Josef Rother and Luca Erbetta's "Reruns", the Aradio Brother's "Colt the Outlander", Tayyar Ozkan's "Caveman" while newer guys like Frank Forte and Nenad Gucunja give us "DTox", Milan Uvrtacev slides in with "Silver Bullets in My Gun", and Llarena, Sobreiro & Sobreiro, round everything out with "Threads of Fate!" Love them all guys, thanks for sending them our way.
I think that is going to do it for this time out...S.C.., you know the drill—(and great to see you in SD!)—so we're going to get back to work here, and I'll be taunting you with more fun news, details, and stories in sixty.
