EDITORIAL NOTE
EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH!
On November of 1988 a new magazine hit the newsstand. It debuted with little fanfare,
not much of a budget, with plans for it to be published on an infrequent basis.
The publisher at the time didn't want the editor to venture into too kinky ground,
preferring to use more standard cover poses and typical porn lingo—"Hot,
Wet, Juicy"—for "coverlines." The fact that that magazine
has survived, prospered, and evolved, and is still going strong, eight years later,
only proves to show that, yes, where there is a will, there is indeed a way! Yes,
friends, this is the eighth anniversary issue of LEG ACTION and you better believe
that I state that fact with much pride. Personally, putting together this particular
edition has meant a lot to me. The fact that I've been there from the start owes
less to my competence and more to your loyalty (though I'd like to think 'that,
sometimes, I know what I'm doing). Our readers are the foundation of this magazine.
Without you we couldn't have lasted eight issues, let alone eight years. I feel
like Sally Field, who, after winning an Academy Award a few years ago, shouted,
"You like me...You really like me..." We must be doing something right,
giving you what you want, what you need, to see. Let's face it, there aren't too
many other places you can turn to satisfy your fetish, or to gaze at a really
great set of legs, mitimmt for that matter. And I'll be the first to admit that,
while I think we're very good, there's always room for improvement. You can count
on us venturing into new territory in the months—and years—ahead.
Your suggestions are extremely important to us and we always try to act on them,
if at all possible. So please write us, tell us what you like, or don't like.
Even though I might be too busy to reply, I personally read all mail sent to the
magazine. So keep those cards and letters coming!
As I sit here and reflect on the past eight years and try to analyze why magazines
of this genre have become so popular, the main reason seems to be that foot fetishism—while
we are far from only being a foot fetish magazine, that is the basis of our existence—has
now been accepted into the mainstream. It's common knowedge that a love for feet
is the number -one fetish in the world. Everywhere you look—TV, the movies,
print media, etc.—female feet are featured as worthy of adulation. We'd
like to think that, even in some small way, we're responsible for the fetish gaining
in credibility, acceptance, and popularity. A man should be able to walk down
the street, gaze fawningly at a woman's feet, and praise the beauty of same without
being looked upon as weird. Tit-men move over, toe-men are here to stay!
What sets us apart from our competition? Probably the single biggest difference
between us and them is the fact that our philosophy is that you can adore a woman's
feet without necessarily being submissive or subservient. Although there's nothing
wrong with that, and we do believe that a beautiful woman should be put on a pedestal
and worshiped. But the two don't necessarily have to go hand in hand. We're most
proud of our creative pictorials and skilled photography which make them so distinctive.
We're also extremely pleased with our unique columns, written by women—
be they porn stars or Mistresses—who actually live the lifestyle they write
about. And you can expect to see more of the same in the future—new columnists
and new ideas taken to the nth degree, things you won't be able to find anywhere
else! Please, don't only write us, but support our models and columnists. Send
them fan mail, join their fan clubs, tell them you appreciate what they're doing!
Whew! It seems as if I've gotten a lot off my chest in this rambling discourse.
I really want to thank everyone who's bought even one issue for helping to support
us and make it possible to celebrate eight years of publishing. Our an niversary

All that's left is to say that we'll never rest on our laurels. We'll grow and
