$6.99—Why I gotta pay the extra buck?
Anyone who has any knowledge of the printing business will already know this,
so well state it for the rest of you. In the last six months paper prices have
gone up over one hundred percent. This in turn has increased the price of producing magazines like this substantially. So substantially in fact, that even with the increase in cover price, it is still more costly tc produce this magazine. Hence, the higher cover price is not out of greed, but rather out of a need for survival.
Big Brother Strikes Again!
On a more somber note, one of our regular contributors to this magazine is having very serious legal problems. It seems that the government has nothing better to do then try to restrict its citizens first amendment rights. As we all know, crime, drug abuse, political corruption and organized crime are problems that have been solved years ago. Rather than giving you our version of what happened to Stevi Secrets, we are going to turn the rest of this space over to her.
"Dear Leg Tease Readers, The long and evil hand of censorship (which I've
warned you about) reached out and grabbed me! As part of an ill conceived effort
by local authorities to clean up Sin City, Las Vegas police, using trumped up
charges of pandering, raided my home and office, seizing much of my business.
This attack, which was a thinly veiled attempt at censorship hidden behind criminal charges, was both an immoral attempt and unconstitutional. My company will ultimately prevail but, for the
moment, our mutual enemies hold the upper hand. I am not taking this lying down.
Acting on the advice of Leg Tease publisher, Richard Shore, I have retained a
committed constitutional attorney who recently filed suite against the city of
Las Vegas, protesting this willful violation of the First, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendments. Although the courts out here tend to be of the kangaroo variety, the law is on my side. Even though this sordid account is basically bad news, there is always a silver lining. With the help of friends in the adult video business, and a sympathetic police officer, I have recovered many of my titles. My company remains in operation with many titles to offer you, the great readers of Leg Tease.
I do have a request of all my old friends, In the mayhem caused by the police,
my customer files have been completely disheveled. I may or may not still have
your name and address. To be sure, it is best if you write me and check. To potential new customers, please don't hesitate to contact me, as all orders are currently being filled. There is one more request I wish to make of all Leg Tease readers.
Please be aware of the awesome power of the government censors. They operate at
all levels of government. When election day comes around, vote to turn them out
of office. Luckily for all of us, this is still a democracy that with a little
effort is not only aimed at me but on all Americans who hold dear tradition of
Free Speech.
