EDITORIAL We are now precisely half-way through the year and going strong as ever. Not
only are sales of the magazines soaring, but the Raymond Revuebar is packing them
in, Pyjama Tops is becoming an English institution, and Paul Raymond's new extravaganza,
The Royalty Folies. has taken the theatrical world by storm. If you haven't yet
seen this much discussed spectacular, turn to page 36 of this very issue and feast
your eyes on our stunning photo coverage.
Our Publisher also features in this month's unusual fashion spread. A look at
the work of Robbie Stanford - tailor to the stars, his clients including Max Bygraves,
Des O'Connor and. yes. Paul Raymond -- we think you'll find it verydifferent from
our usual fashion.
Our list of illustrious contributors grows longer each month. Few readers will
need an introduction toFrank Norman. Author of the famous musical Fings Ain't
Wot They Used to Be and novels such as Banana Boy and the recent Much Ado About
Nuffink, Frank has previously contributed to our very own Club International and
makes his hilarious Men Only debut with his short story, Up The Manor. Nor will
readers require an introduction to Peter Ustinov, the extraordinary raconteur,
satirist, director, actor, playwright and novelist. A man normally impossible
to get hold of, Ustinov finally agreed to see us when he was passing through London,
and the results make for a once-in-a-lifetime interview.
Your Men Only Editor recently found himself in a mini cab with an unusually voluble
driver. So taken was the editor by this driver's exotic tales of the sexual aspects
of his vocation that he commissioned him, there and then, to put together a feature
on the subject. Not normally a professional writer, the cabbie nevertheless turned
in a very funny and randy manuscript which you can read on page 60 of this issue.
Then, if the summer heat isn't warm enough for you, we present Candice, Caroline,
Lana. Erwina and our main girl, the exquisite Britt - a month to remember. Tony
