TOUGHEST inflatable bra ever built is suddenly ballooning in popularity among
normally flat-chested British gals. The swell of enthusiasm for puff-up pulchritude
is the result of a design breakthrough. Unlike early models—which tended
to fizzle out in public or explode without warning—the new, indestructible
bras are made to withstand all sorts of punishment, from crowded busses to revolving
doors. And the English ladies—with no more fear of deflated egos and such—are
starting to blow themselves all into proportion.
WILDEST ESCAPE recently took place in Lewiston, Idaho, when a six-foot tall
woman prisoner fled from the county jail wearing nothing but a pair of pink
panties. The woman, Millie Jones, had wanted to
take a shower; and when the guard opened her cell, she slugged him with two
bars of soap wrapped in a shirt sleeve. Then she took the keys and let her boyfriend
out of another cell. The two escapees ran into the street and jumped quickly
into a car that had paused for a stop sign. The driver was so astonished by
the naked intrusion that he leaped out instantly and watched the pair make their
"clean" getaway.
MOST CONTROVERSIAL movie filmed by Swedish director Ingmar Bergman has aroused
even the shock-proof citizens of Stockholm. Silence, a story about two sisters
and their strange love notions, graphically details their passions without the
usual fade-outs. As a result, Swedish newspapers have printed over 200 articles
debating whether the Master's movie is art or "muck." One viewer even
stated, "Right now, I don't want to see any more Bergman films. The sex
scenes were almost animalistic, and I was shocked." Coming from the land
of free love, such testimony suggests that Silence will make an awful lot of
noise.
