INTRODUCTION
ONCE AGAIN, it is that time of year when the governing powers of show business
gather together for award presentations. Solid gold statues called Oscars, Emmys,
and Tonys are dusted off and delivered to scores of celebrities in movies, television,
and theatre. Meanwhile, another board of experts — perhaps less distinguished,
but' no less dedicated — has been busy selecting winners in a much more
fascinating contest: beauty. Believing that sex appeal, rather than talent, is
what makes a woman a queen, MM's judges base these awards purely on physical allure.
Of course, in order to succeed in movies, night clubs, modeling, etc., all of
the charming winners must have some talent — but that is of little importance.
What counts is how much "show" they put into show business; and with
that in mind, MODERN MAN'S Yearbook of Queens herewith presents its tribute to
the most beautiful women in the world.
