A NEW SUPERSTAR.... Derek Cameron
When you review as many videos as we have to review for the family of
magazines we belong to, you would think that you may become jaded and
find it difficult to get a hard on any more. Well, along comes a new
face and that tingle in your dick screams SUPERSTAR. Derek Cameron has
all the qualities of a superstar and I have felt that way since I first
saw him in Matt Sterling's TRADEWINDS. I have waited to see more of
him, and I waited, and I waited. Good news. According to a press
release from MEN OF ODYSSEY their second major release will be 'A
Journey to Italy." It will star Derek Cameron, pictured here for those
of you who may not remember him.
Shooting began the first week of May in Italy under the direction of
LUCAS KAZAN. Who is Lucas Kazan? He is the man who wrote "The
Pornographer,"was the Production Supervisor on Jeff Stryker's
"CyberStud"and his movie was a star at the Palm Springs Film Festival.
Bob East of Men of Odyssey saw a great new producer/director and nabbed
him for his Italian feature. Paired up with Derek Cameron the result
should be incredible. Odyssey doesn't spend a ton of money on a quickie
movie with a few known names at the lead. They take out all the stops
and away they go as evidenced by "Idol in the Sky."
To refresh my memory I called Matt Sterling and asked for a copy of
TRADEWINDS. He was so quick to respond I had the copy before the day
was over. I fell in love all over again with Derek. No I have never met
the man and I hate meeting them because it is so awkward to shake the
hand of the man who made you come at least three times during the
movie. Well, at my age anyone knows that three times during the movie
would be an exaggeration. But, not when you take all day to watch the
entire movie. Gotcha!
What makes a superstar? I guess it must be the one who appeals to more
of the community than others.
Older guys, younger guys, porn stars, cast members and crew members,
producers and directors, distributors, art directors, publishers, the
entire spectrum of the gay community in this business. He has to be a
guy who would look hot in leather, a uniform, Levis, Speedos, cut-offs,
a tank top or just absolutely nothing. Look what happened when Jeff
Stryker arrived on the scene. You couldn't find anyone who saw his
movie who didn't like him. Not only did they like that cock but they
liked the body, the face, the ass, the voice and the personality. I
know that Jeff is a singer but I doubt that Derek Cameron is a singer.
Hey Derek...you don't have to sing. Just go to Italy and dazzle those
Italian Stallions.
The movie is set for editing in June and July and we should be seeing
the movie in the fall. Yes, I will keep you informed. In fact, I have
Bob East's phone number at Odyssey and he does take my calls.
If you happen to be a fan of the gay videos you may want to check out
STARS MAGAZINE, the Gay Cinema Review Magazine that is getting a lot of
attention lately because we show the hottest scenes from the movies
from the hottest producers. Sure we get videos in the mail every day
but if they aren't hot we turn them over to OUT OF THE CLOSET, a gay
organization that runs thrift shops and the profits put spending money
in the pockets of AIDS patients who have no money for incidentals.
