About Playboy (Taiwan)
Playboy Sweden started publishing in April 1990 and discontinued publishing in December 2003. There are over 22 million Taiwanese which makes this country a feasible location to make it profitable to publish Playboy magazine. However, with Taiwan's lax sex laws and a plethora of other Taiwanese adult magazine titles, as well as a low median income, Playboy was not able to turn a profit in this country and thus ceased publishing.
