INTRODUCTION
The World of Glamour, as we know it, has forever changed! We now enter an era
of superior lighting technique, cinematic imagery, digital perfection and heightened
production value, pre and post. Thanks to our pioneering collaboration with Photography
Director Nick Saglimbeni and his Slickorce Studio, this collection of startling
images with its precise clarity, exemplary styling, and magnificent presentation
has propelled our offerings into the pantheon of great visual publications. SHOWCase
is a gigantic leap forward into the realm of high-end glam. It is a wonderful
masterpiece of photographic artistry. I would like to thank Vanessa, Laura, the
entire crew, graphic designer Von Jackson, our distributors and other vendors
and partners, the entire Cummings Media family and especially Nick for bringing
this dream of a magazine to fruition. So, thank you.
It is only appropriate, seeing that this is the Premier issue of SHOWCase, that
the two young ladies featured both starred in the original issue of SHOW: The
Art of Sexy. Vanessa Veasley has recently ascended to the upper echelon of top
models. Her debut feature in SHOW #1 was her first magazine feature and still
one of our finest. Vanessa's cover of Black Lingerie #4 is a sight to behold and
a perfect depiction of beauty and class. Thanks to Ms. Veasley, Nick and the crew,
nothing like this SHOWCase has ever been remotely accomplished by any of our pears,
past or present. Vanessa deserves this distinguished honor more so than any model
I have ever worked with, and she stepped up to the plate and hit it straight out
of the park on the first swing! I feel completely comfortable saying, and I believe
I am a bit of an authority in this area, that not one of her contemporaries has
ever put together a published performance quite like this one, ever.
Laura Doré aka Sweetie Cyanide is poised to have a breakout year. She is
already very accomplished and a part of modeling's elite. A SHOW Girl from day
one, Laura sent shockwaves through the industry with her ridiculously proportioned
body as seen in her first full feature in SHOW issue 2. She became an Internet
sensation around the same time, referred to as the "girl with the eight pack
abs". Laura's momentum grew exponentially with her super hot cover of Black
Lingerie #4. Sweetie, as I have always called her, has morphed into an excitingly
dangerous beauty. Always stunning, of course, she has now arrived as a dynamic
personality. This recognition of outstanding achievement (SHOWCase) or what can
be looked at as the equivalent of a GRAMMY for models, is bestowed upon Sweetie
Cyanide for one simple reason, the fans have demanded it! We always welcome the
opportunity to please our valued readers and hope to do this many more times.
