FROM THE EDITOR
Make no mistake about it. I hate liars. But I have absolutely no use for liars
when they use their lies to make a profit. It must be that midwest work ethic
I grew up with.
There seems to be a couple of magazines published in New York whose editorial-staff
has absolutely no sense of self-respect and will do anything, say anything, and
print anything to make a few bucks.
One magazine that has gone through the trouble of resgistering the blatant lie
of "America's Hottest Sex Magazine" as a trademark has hit an all-time
low by putting "Madonna's Shocking Blow Job Photos" on their cover.
Hey, great selling point. I'd buy it to see those. But, unfortunately it's a lie,
an insidious little lie designed to sell the magazines that are shrink wrapped
because, if you were intrigued by the magazine's cover line and picked up the
issue to look through it, you would notice that there are no photos of Madonna
giving blow jobs. It's a lie, plain and simple! The publishers simply stole a
couple of shots from the early part of Madonna's career when she worked as a nude
model, they then put in a couple of shots of her sucking her thumb, and called
it erotic! Imagine calling a couple of lame shots of the most overexposed woman
in America erotic! It blows my mind how stupid they must think their readership.
Another magazine-without mentioning any names-has gone to the. trouble of putting
"America's Only Strip Club Magazine" on its cover. What a load of crap!
This one really gets me.
I want to know what puss-sucking, greasy-haired moron decided to put that bold-faced
lie on the cover of a magazine which ran only one section on the Palamino Club
in Vegas. Who made the decision? Whoever did it is either completely divorced
from reality, or has absolutely no concern for honesty or the value of truth to
his readers. Lies, Lies, Lies...it's no wonder that the adult entertainment business
has the reputation of being filled with unsavory individuals.
SHOWGIRLS won't resort to putting sensational headlines on its cover. We think
a hot babe and erotic copy is enough. Our philosophy is simple: What you see is
what you get! Not every model on these pages is a ten, some are nines, some are
eights and some are sevens, but the bottom line is that for every Jack there's
a Jill. And there is always a chance that one of these women might be your Jill!
.None of these women are fake, none of them are cash-register cunts, and most
importantly none of these girls are lies. What you see is what you get. It's honest,
it's real, and we're still the only magazine offering you models and entertainers
whom you can meet at over 30 locations across the United States.
So, let me make myself perfectly clear On-this issue. There are only a handful
of magazines which publish information on strip clubs and there is only one magazine
in America dedicating all of its pages to the happenings in America's thousands
of adult`.night spots: SHOWGIRLS. We honor the value of honesty and value the
intelligence of our readers.
Enjoy your SHOWGIRLS,
Eric Delsman
