Letter from the Editor
Hi, Transformation made it to the year 2000 and for all of us, it's the start
of a new century.
The printer we were using closed down, so we went to a Canadian printer, and the
shipping time took much longer.
I hate to bring up politics, but I must emphasize how important it is to vote
Democratic. You might be a devout Republican, but if you want to enjoy the life
and the freedom that you are enjoying now, it is important that you change.
If you vote Republican, you will be voting for all those Religious Right wingers
who want to outlaw everything-including us. In the last seven years with the Democrats,
we've come a long way. Before that, we were harassed everywhere. I'm sure that
you don't want me to get into all the details, because I'd take up this whole
magazine. Most of you know how it was for us in the Republican era, especially
in the Reagan era. I still have a cartoon on my door of him burning the Constitution.
He and the McCarthy era go together.
I've been listening to Pat Buchanan recently. What a jerk! Talk about a far, far
right religious fanatic! He said that we didn't have to get into World War II
because it was already under control, and we didn't have to rescue the Jews and
the Blacks, etc. He is talking of changing from Republican to Democrat. Even the
Republicans don't want him. Vote for him and you'll lose everything. He'd be worse
than Reagan, and that was really bad! If there's an anti-Christ, it's probably
Buchanan or Falwell.
We're starting to get a lot of freedom and recognition. We aren't picked on or
escorted out of public places anymore. People are starting to understand us. Please,
for all our sakes, vote for Gore. No, he's not a personal friend. I just know
what I and so many
of us went through during the reign of the Republicans. I don't want any of us
to have to go through it again.
TRANSFORMATION magazine has opened up so much for all of us. I would hate to see
it all done for nothing. Even though I and many of my friends go out dressed all
the time, people leave us alone and are 100% more accepting than they were just
eight short years ago. Let's keep it that way.
One last thing-I've received some letters that disagreed with some of the articles
that we have run in different issues. One article that received a lot of feedback
was the one that more or less said that if you cross dress, you most likely want
to have an affair with a man.
I personally don't agree with some of the articles that I publish, but I don't
think it's up to me to edit or throw out others' opinions or ideas. I believe
that it's up to you, the reader, to decide. My job is to give you as much as possible
to digest so you can discover what's right for you. Therefore, I publish the good,
the bad, and some of the ugly.
