EDITORIAL NOTE
Dear Reader:
The beat goes on! Your letters continue to pour in, and many of you are also continuing to enclose snapshots of yourselves. The result is another exciting issue of Uncensored Letters which you now hold in your hands. This is good for you, and it's good for us. But we'd like to set forth a few pointers on submitting material for publication in Uncensored Letters.
If at all possible, your letters should be typewritten. Even neatly printed material must be retyped before it can be sent to the typesetter. This is a time-consuming task that imposes an added burden on our staff. Handwritten letters are even more of a problem as many of them are difficult—often impossible—to decipher. While no letter is ever censored in any way, all material must be copyedited for grammar, punctuation and spelling. Doing this is a lot easier if the material is typewritten.
Thus, if you can use a typewriter, please do so, with double-spacing, adequate margins and on one side of the paper, please. You'd be surprised how many people use both sides. This is fine if you're writing to a friend or relative, but it's not conducive to submitting for publication.
And if you should decide you'd like to submit your photograph for publication, please state on the back of the photo that it is indeed a picture of you and that you authorize its use in Uncensored Letters, and sign it.
That covers it. Now go ahead and enjoy this issue. And keep on giving us those letters and photos, folks, 'cause we'd like to continue giving you Uncensored Letters.
