Fall Way, Way Hard ...into GENESIS in October!
It's good to be the Editor Guy. By day, I enjoy the privilege of assembling GENESIS—the
only men's magazine that matters—and at night, I kick back with correspondence
from you, our esteemed readership.
Whether I peruse ten letters praising the new look and editorial direction of
GENESIS or 20 condemning our enterprise as a bogus fiasco, I take every word to
heart. Check out a few deliveries with me:
Dear Editor Guy, writes Spike V. of Fort Washington, Ohio, / just can't believe
how much GENESIS has improved. GENESIS women were always luscious, but the way
their photos are laid out now makes them sexier than ever! What's your secret,
Editor Guy? Can you share it with other mags maybe? Boy, do they suck!
First off, I'd like to thank Spike for his kind words. Then I'll point out the
efforts of the GENESIS art department in restructuring the appearance of our publication.
Looks count for everything in a girly book, and those boys are the best in the
business.
As for divulging the "tricks" of competence to the simple, simple minds
behind other men's mags—all I'll reveal is that when you fish from a talent
pool stocked with those who think execution photos and articles like "My
Ten Favorite Punk Albums" belong in whack-off journals{ you may as well cast
your net in a sewer pipe.
Turning back to the mail heap, reader Scott R. of Lowell, Massachusettes observes:

No more. Selwyn Harris of "Video X" is by far the most honest—if
a bit frightening—critic of cooze movies I've ever read. So many mags only
run good reviews. Fuck that ass-kissing bullshit! I take GENESIS with me to the
video store now, because I know Selwyn will shoot me straight.
Selwyn Harris is a bloviating, overopinonated prick, and that is exactly why we
hired him. Universally glowing notices doled out to even the most stinking, Snatch
flicks is one way to keep an office stocked with squack cassettes—and one
hell of a way to screw your audience. GENESIS is different: trust "Video
X."
Finally, a correspondent from Florence, Arizona states: I am an ass man—an
asshole man. I need to see piçtures .of chicks with their butts spread
wide open, alnd I mean wide! On the plus side, the humorous aspects of GENESIS
are way funnier than Hustler's.
