Black Tail magazine is an adult pornographic magazine that was first published in 1990 and was one of the first magazines to focus on the African-American community. The magazine was founded by two black men, Michael Gibson and Derrick Johnson, who wanted to create a publication that would showcase the positive aspects of black culture and black women.
The magazine quickly gained a following and became known for its unique take on African-American culture. Black Tail magazine was also one of the first to feature interviews with black celebrities and offer advice on black relationships.
Black Tail magazine ceased publication in 2012 due to a decreasing magazine market. The magazine was no longer profitable due to stiff competition from the Internet.
