"A surge of voyeuristic entertainment has swept Young Hollywood," the New York limes recently remarked, "where sex tapes and leaked photos can be considered a means to stoke or revive careers" (see Hilton, Paris – page 281. Adds Australia's Sydney Morning Herald paper:
'With all the hype and hullaballoo surrounding the nudity and sex-tape mania, one can only hope that young starlets out to make a buck or two, and have their
'15 minutes of fame,' won't be so silly as to resort to these types of extremes
and tacky methods of exploitation to get their names in the tabloids for all the
wrong reasons." By all rights, though, they're born for Sleuthdom ...
As the Sydney scold cautions: "Of course if you're doing your own set of
tasteful nude spreads for the eyes of your partner only (check out our entire
"Leaks of `Peaks"' section, beginning on page 56), just remember to
keep the originals. You never know where they'll end up ...." By now, you
should!
As we "enter" our 21st year with our 19th examination of nubile "newcomers—FOURTEEN
of whom are "losing it" for the first time in our pages—we must
note the current controversy surrounding published pix of 17-year-old Miley Cyrus
(who won't be "legal" until this November 23rd}. For that reason, we've
yet to "do her," but that hasn't stopped other outlets from wanting
"in": One online poll, taken when she was barely 15, asked, "Do
You Think Miley Cyrus is a Virgin?"—to which 76% of respondents answered
"No."
But the blossoming brunette says "Yes"—her fledgling flower has
not been plucked: "I want to keep my virginity until I many," Miley
maintains. "I was brought up in a Christian family"—with a groupie
mom "who got a huge insurance settlement she used to follow dad Billy Ray
while he was touring," according to CossipList.com. "She was lucky enough
to hookup with him, hang on to him, and get knocked up."
To prevent that happening to the daughter, prophylactic peddler Lifestyles has
offered her $1 million to promote its condoms: 'We believe that Miley is the obvious
choice to get the message of safe sex out to teens across America." Lifestyles
even vowed to ship a lifetime supply of condoms to the Tween Queen for "whenever
she feels the time is right."
Of course, there's an alluring alternative to not "Achy Breaking It":
After private snaps of Miley "making out with a girl" leaked onto the
'net in early 2008, Cyrus sneered: "That's one of my best friends. It's two
girls at a sleepover, and if all of a sudden that's bad, then what is the world
coming to?" Um...The Rapture?!
And let's not forget that Miley has a role model: "People mention child performers
who have gone off the rails," she sighs, "but there are also stable
people like Jodie Foster. She called to give me advice, which was great."
For all of us ...
