EDITORIAL NOTE
TIT TALK
Succulent, an erotic celebration of the natural breast, is a leap of faith—faith
that there will be an unending supply of attractive, naturally buxom young women
who will want nothing more than to exhibit their glandular charms in the pages
of this magazine. This is asking a lot. After all, it was a dearth of natural
boob talent that gave rise to the "silicone superstars" who now dominate
virtually every tit mag on the market. As we approach the new millennium, we sense
a deep, human craving to return to the days of gorgeous models, unmarred by plastic
surgery, presented tastefully and seductively in revealing pictorials.
In this, our premier issue, we offer for your viewing pleasure three of the greatest
names in hooter history in never before seen photos from the glorious days when
they first burst upon the scene. Also, we have pictorials on six of the newest,
hottest tit models to come along in years— voluptuous, sexy women who are
still reaching for the heights of sexual superstardom. And that is the SUCCULENT
mission: one eye cast reverently on the hallowed past, the other eye gazing hopefully
into the promising future.
To mention Chloe Vevrier, Christy Canyon and Danni Ashe in one sentence is usually
enough to induce sensory overload in the discerning breast fan. For the past decade
these women have come to define bra busting sensuality. One is a dark haired German
beauty who fled the tyrannical communist oppression of eastern Europe so she could
express her vibrant sexuality in the free world. One is an American XXX video
star of the first magnitude, legendary for her explosive on-camera orgasms. One
is a Queen of Cyberspace, a Caitfornia girl who stood the porno world on its ear
by defying all conventions and blazing a path to fame and fortune on the World
Wide Web. What they have in common are their succulent breasts—soft, creamy
mountains of hot, sensitive flesh spilling bountifully from the cups of their
lacy bras and demanding to be worshiped, fondled, licked, sucked and ultimately
coated with the juice of devotion.
Linsey, Larissa and Lynne (the luscious L's), along with Carrie, Katie and Sona
are ascendant tit stars, lighting up the night sky like Roman candles. Linsey,
a 19-year-old Englishwoman who spends her days being pursued by hedonistic rock
stars, millionaire athletes, and tabloid reporters hungry for a scoop, has already
achieved living legend status. Larissa, a Soviet sensualist now living in the
UK, was the #1 mammary sin-sâtion of 1998. She seemed to come out of nowhere
to take the world by storm. Lynne, an American, and Sona, a Czech, are our discoveries
of the month. They both have those big juicy jumbos and
electrifyingly uninhibited attitudes that can only lead one to conclude that their
busts are destined for a prime spot in the erotic hall of fame. As for Katie and
Carrie, well, we just thought you'd like to see a couple of hot girls, with E
and F cups respectively, sucking each other silly. And for those of you with a
yen for tit fucking, check out Classic Succulent Video. There, the legendary Jeannine
Oldfield gets her bountiful bazooms plowed by a delirious stud.
Also in this issue is Naturally Nancy, a ribald comic strip about a well stacked
but innocent young girl who calls a sex commune home; a scholarly yet subversive
exploration of the truth and beauty of big natural jugs in the high arts; the
Mammary Mailbag; and "Keeping Abreast of the News" where among other
tit-bits you'll find an erotic memoir titled "The Golden Age of Gazongas."
If you're a passionate breast man who demands more from a magazine then you've
come to the right place. Welcome to SUCCULENT! Welcome! Welcome!

About Swank Confidential
Swank is an adult or pornographic magazine published in the United States. The first incarnation was launched by Victor Fox of Fox Comics in 1941 (and again in 1945) as a men's lifestyle and pin-up magazine in the style of Esquire. Around 1954–1955, it was relaunched by Martin Goodman, the founder of Marvel Comics, and ran spicy adventure or suspense fiction by the likes of Ian Fleming, Graham Greene, Norman Mailer and Arthur C. Clarke. Humorist Bruce Jay Friedman was an editor in the late 1950s.
Along with its sister title, Stag, the magazine was bought by the Magna Publishing Group in 1993. Following that acquisition, the format of Swank changed to include hardcore sex, such as the use of sex toys, lesbian sex, and sexual intercourse between men and women. There are also a series of DVDs and an official website produced under the Swank name. Magna Publishing Group was bought by 1-800-PHONESEX in 2015.
According to its current owner, Magna Publishing Group, Swank has been established for "well over 65 years". A men's lifestyle title called Swank was launched in the early 1940s, by Victor Fox. In a 2002 article for The New York Times, Matthew Flamm wrote of the magazine's genesis: "[Swank] can even draw a line to the same pulp publishing outfit – Martin Goodman's Magazine Management Company – that in 1939 started the comic book publisher that eventually became Marvel Comics, and that in the 1950s and 1960s employed future novelists like Mario Puzo and Bruce Jay Friedman as writers and editors." Beat poet John Fles also wrote for the magazine. In keeping with its connection to Magazine Management, in the early 1970s Swank ran a three-page comics section that was created by Vaughn Bodē, and continued by Bernie Wrightson and then Jeff Jones.
During its first two decades of operation, Swank had breaks in publication lasting up to several years. The original format was similar to that of the popular men's title Esquire. Magazine archivist Phil Stephensen-Payne gives the date of the first issue as August 1941 and suggests that, after perhaps seven issues, the publication folded and then relaunched in August 1945. Humphrey Bogart, Oscar Levant and Earl Wilson were among the guest contributors over this period.
A later incarnation celebrated its 20th birthday on the cover of the October 1977 issue. By that time, the content included music-related feature articles by journalist and author Michael Gross.
The Magna Publishing Group bought Swank, along with titles including Stag magazine, in 1993. The previous owner was Charles "Chip" Goodman, the son of Martin Goodman. At the time of the purchase, the company was known as Swank Publications and was part of the GCR Publishing Group, which also published non-pornographic magazines such as New Body and Victorian Accents.
